So carve time into your day to set your priorities straight and get in your best shape. To begin, check the everyday activities that can aid your weight loss by 50%! Don’t believe me just yet? Then try this for yourself.
1. Wake up and Work out for 10 Minutes
As you rise early with minimal time before you have to get ready for school or work, why not awaken your senses with a short workout? Just 10 minutes of fitness in the morning consisting of 3 sets of 20 jumping jacks, pushups, squats, lunges, jump squats and a squat hold can help you to boost your metabolic rate. This can also help you to build lean muscle, helping your body to burn more fat at rest.
2. Take the Stairs at the Office or School
As a trainer, I get so frustrated when I see a long line of people waiting to get on the elevator, especially when they are going up just two floors. Put those legs to work and take the stairs. Stairs will help to give you a great butt, lean down and also give you a boost of energy for the day!
3. Park Far Away and Walk to Your Destination
As you drive up and down each aisle at the grocery store looking for the closest spot, you are not only wasting your time but also wasting the possibility of a great workout. Park at the farther spot and speed walk to the store. You will get a short calorie burn and you will feel more alert when you get in the store. Every fitness moment counts so let’s use it wisely!
4. Use Your Lunch Break for a Short Sweat Session
Sitting in the food court at work or at school can be a major bore, especially when it is a beautiful day. So swap out your food court lunch for a brisk walk or jog in the great outdoors. After you finish and wash up, enjoy your salad at your desk. And you will be satisfied because you already prioritized your health with an afternoon sweat session!
5. When You Brush Your Teeth, Sit in a Squat Hold
Staring at your reflection blankly in the mirror as you brush your teeth is wasting your time and your energy. So have a seat my favorite way: against the wall in a squat hold. Get your body down to 90 degrees with your weight in the heels, and build lean muscle mass that will have your body on its way to becoming a fat burning machine!
6. Bond with a Friend While You Work out
If you have trouble finding time to meet up with a friend and squeeze in a workout, why not do both? Call up a friend and meet up for a bike ride, run or hike. Studies show you can keep your motivation high by working out with a friend. You may find yourself pushing each other harder and as a result you will burn more calories
7. Plank It out before You Catch Some Zzzzzs
Now, as you get ready for bed assume pushup position, get on your forearms and plank it out with the goal of one minute. This exercise will work your back, hips and abdominal muscles, helping you to burn more calories while at rest!
