The morning is one of the best times to consume carbohydrates, around breakfast time after you wake up. As you sleep overnight, your body goes into light fasting mode and goes through the carbs that are stored in your body as glycogen. If you eat carbs in the morning to break this fast, you are replenishing the ones that you used up rather than adding to existing stores. This will help to prevent weight gain.
2. Before Work out
Carbs are critical for providing energy, so it makes sense that one of the best times to eat them is before you put your body through lots of exercise. The more energy you have from the carbs, the harder you will be able to train. And the harder you are able to train, the more weight you are likely to lose in a set time period!
3. Post Work out
There is also space for carb eating after you have worked out. It is basically for the same reason as in the morning after you wake up. You want to replenish your body with the carbohydrates that you just used up, and doing so after working out means that the carbs in question will go towards fuelling your exercise and energy levels rather than being ingested and stored as glucose somewhere on your body.
