Eating before going to bed will elevate your blood sugar when you can’t burn off the energy. Excess sugar will be converted to fat that is stored around your belly. If you want to reduce belly fat, avoid eating after seven p.m at night, especially those sweet deserts after dinner too!
Avoid stress eating. When you are stressed, your body releases the stress hormone, cortisol, which can trigger cravings for high fat and sugar foods. When you are under stress your body deposits fat around the belly.
Eat a healthy diet full of superfoods. The best way to lose belly fat is to lose overall body fat by exercising regularly and consuming a healthy diet. Replace junk food with nature’s best superfoods. Eat low GI foods like oatmeal in the morning. It is rich in fibre and will keep you full for hours, so you’re less likely to snack before lunch. If you can’t help snacking, nibble on nuts like almonds. Eat ten to twenty to fill you up so you can avoid eating food that stops you losing belly fat. Berries are a great fruit to eat. They are low in calories, high in antioxidants and contain loads of fibre, without being high in sugar like some other fruits. Beans and legumes are low calorie, high protein, high fibre superfoods. Cut out fat from your diet by replacing fatty meat with beans and legumes in your evening dishes. Load up of vegetables, which are low calorie, high fibre and full of vitamins and minerals. To get a range of vitamins, eat a variety of colours of vegetables.
The better your body is functioning, the easier it will be to burn belly fat. Try detoxing for one day a week by eating only fruit and vegetables. This will also provide your body with loads of vitamins.
