1. Foods to Avoid
Stop eating high calorie foods like sugary soft drinks, alcohol, high fat foods and sugary snacks. Avoid eating high GI carbohydrates. Sugary food has a high glycemic index, which causes your blood sugar to rise. This releases hormones to move the sugar into your cells for energy, but if you don’t use all of this energy it becomes stored in the body as belly fat. Eating low GI foods and avoiding high GI foods will give you sustained energy, keep you full for longer and help you to lose belly fat.
2. Water is a Key Weight Loss Aid
Aim to drink two to three litres of water each day, including caffeine free tea. Water is a great way to detox and cleanse your body and you will feel less hungry when you are hydrated.
