If you want to drop a few pounds, you've got to know how to lose weight in a healthy way. There are so many people on a daily basis who are seeking the safest ways to lose weight and fast too! They may have tried hundreds of different diets and are still yet to see any results from all that work. Just like those people who want to take those extra pounds off and keep them off, I too am crazy about this healthy living lifestyle. I am not keen on any funny diets or weird meal plans that will only cost me nothing but more money from my budget and not deliver results.

1 Cut the Excess Sugar from Your Diet

If you are a sugar-lover and feel you can’t stop, think again! I thought I couldn’t survive a day without sugar but seeing as how I wanted results, I had to make the sacrifice. This is how you can gradually reduce until it becomes a norm for you:
- If you normally use two (2) teaspoons of sugar for your tea, try starting with 1.5 for 3-5 days of the first week. Closer to the end of the week, you can gradually lessen the 0.5 teaspoons until, by the end of the second week, you are only on one. (It may seem hard but bear in mind the fruit juices and other energy drinks you consume on a daily basis, will supply the body with the necessary sugar it needs to function). Follow this technique until you will realize but the end of the first month, you may only be using 0.5 teaspoons of sugar for 1-2 days out of the week.
- Cut the number of sweet drinks you consume. Those sodas and extra glasses of fruit juice are putting in more sugar than the body can work with. As such, it stores the excess sugar, which gradually turns into fat. Why not substitute some of those soda and juice periods with water.
2 Work out
No, you don’t have to go to the gym. There are many workouts that you can do at home and in case you don’t know what to do, try YouTube as there are thousands of available videos you can work with. You can do this 2-3 times per week (average 30 minutes per workout session).
3 Substitute Sweet Snacking with a Fruit or Vegetable Dish
All those chocolates and cakes are nothing but problems for your body. You can change your regular snacking with a vegetable dish you can prepare (with your favourite vegetables) or you can do the same with a fruit dish. If you don’t have time to make the dish, grab an apple and a glass of water instead of that slice of pizza.
Most times if you feel like you are hungry, drinking a glass of water is all you need. Also, you can flavour your water for more health benefits with a few slices of lemon and cucumber (power weight loss elements).
