Juicing is definitely the new craze right now. A lot of people are interested in juicing but don’t know where to start. It’s especially tough to start when you don’t know what juices you like. If you want to start juicing but don’t know which juices to start with, these recipes are going to help you get started and make you fall in love with juicing!
1. Watermelon and Cucumber
I love this juice for a bunch of reasons. First of all, it’s great for people who are just beginning juicing because there are just two ingredients, and you probably already have them in your house. You don’t need to invest in a whole grocery cart full of fruit and vegetables you may not like in juice form. Plus, both the watermelon and cucumber are so refreshing that you’re sure to love it!
2. Oranges, Lemons, and Limes
Citrus fruits have a ton of amazing health benefits, and this juice is no exception. As a beginner juicer, it can be hard to get used to drinking vegetable-based juices, so an entirely fruit-based juice will make it way easier (and tastier) to drink and get used to juicing.
3. Your Own Take on the Mean Green
If you’ve seen Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead, you probably know what the Mean Green juice is. It’s almost become its own separate entity outside of the movie, because so many people drink it when juicing. However, when you’re beginning juicing, it’s a very strong juice to drink on a regular basis. If you want to drink a green juice but can’t get used to the taste, alter it a little bit to your taste until you can work your way up to the actual Mean Green recipe.
4. A Strange but Tasty Treat
This juice seems pretty odd, but it’s so sweet that you won’t even realize that you’re drinking a sweet potato (yes, you read that right). Juice an apple, an orange, almonds, and a sweet potato together for a juice that It’s chock full of protein and potassium for a great post-workout drink.
5. Simple Green Juice
If you want to drink a green juice but just can’t stomach any version of the Mean Green, try this extremely simple and sweet version to get used to the idea of drinking green juice. Juice kale, a granny smith apple, cucumbers, and green grapes for a green juice that packs nutrients and a delicious taste!
6. Cucumber Pear Treat
If you want to start juicing immediately but don’t have time to go to the grocery store, this may just be the juice for you! Juice a cucumber and two pears for an easy juice when you’re just starting juicing and don’t have a lot to pick from in your fridge. Most people keep pears and cucumbers on hand making this a great last-minute drink!
7. Your Leftovers
If you’re nearing the end of the week and don’t want to go grocery shopping yet, but you also don’t have all of the ingredients you need for any of your favorite juices, start experimenting with what you have in your fridge. You may just create a new juice that you’d never thought of when you start experimenting with your leftover fruit and vegetables!
