1. Get to the Gym
I’ll be honest, the first item on my list of how to lose 10 pounds won’t be practical for everyone. Gym memberships can be expensive, and this is the time of year when every penny counts. However, if you can find a really great, affordable gym or an awesome deal, think about joining. You can exercise without getting out in the weather, so you’ll be able to stay active. However…
2. Stay Active
Exercise isn’t relegated to the gym. If you do a lot of walking, outdoors, at an indoor track, or at the mall, you’re in good shape. Ditto if you’re into a lot of winter sports, like skiing, snow-shoeing, and things like that. Just make sure you move around. Work out at home if you want, with an exercise DVD or a fun video game.

4. Eat Right
Naturally, eating right is important too. Look for seasonal vegetables and fruits so you can get plenty of vitamins and nutrients. Don’t rely on fast food, TV dinners, or microwaveable snacks.
