When it comes to weight loss, you would be forgiven for assuming that the only two things you need to be concerned about are going on a calorie restricted diet and taking up a strong exercise regime. Whilst those two things are of course required and recommended, there is one more key thing that you need to do in order to achieve good results, and that is stay completely and totally hydrated! Water plays a much bigger part than you might think. Here is the amount of water your body needs to lose weight.
1. Stage One
First off you need to weigh yourself to know exactly what number you are dealing with in terms of the equation that you are about to perform. The bigger you are, the more water you need to drink.
2. Stage Two
Once you have your number, divide that in half, rounding up if you come up with a fraction.
3. Stage Three
Be honest with yourself and work out a time figure for how much you think you are active each day. For every 30 minutes of physical activity, you should be drinking 16 oz. of water.
4. Stage Four
Finally, make the important calculation by adding your halved weight to the number reached when calculating your daily activity.
For example: 200 pounds = 100
30 minutes of exercise = 16
So altogether, your total is 116 ounces which roughly translates to around 10 cups of water per day.
This is the recommended amount for someone of your size and your activity level, so make sure that whatever you personal number comes out at, that you translate it into cups and make the commitment to stick to drinking it. It can make such a difference to your metabolic rate, which will, in turn, help you to lose more weight than ever.
