There are tons of fantastic reasons to try Zumba, especially if you're looking for a different kind of workout. I got into Zumba mainly because I got tired of seeing all of my friends posting annoying statuses about how much they loved it. At a certain point, I had a choice between looking into it or unfriending a third of the people I know on Facebook. I chose the former because I try not to be quite that antisocial. The workout I discovered, which combines a number of dances with martial arts, kicking, lunging, and squatting, instantly intrigued me. Believe it or not, I found quite a few persuasive reasons to try Zumba myself!

1. From Boring to Bodacious

One of the best reasons to try Zumba is that it always keeps you interested. This workout does not ever get boring. It's fun, fast-paced, and ever-changing. You'll never get used to the routine, which is important for two reasons: you won't get bored and stop working out, and your body won't get used to your routine and stop feeling the burn.

2. An All-Inclusive Exercise

Zumba works for everyone. It doesn't matter if you've never exercised a day in your life, Zumba will adapt to your fitness level. Your age doesn't matter, either; whether you're 18 or 58, you can find a class that works for you. Your size doesn't matter either. If you're coming in with a lot of extra pounds to lose, you can do this, I promise you. You'll feel it, absolutely, but you'll have the motivation to persevere.

Zumba burns a lot of calories. I mean, it burns a lot. In just an hour, you can burn upwards of 1,000 calories! The average is over 800, so really, you can't lose. Plus, as you'll see, you'll never realize you're burning that much fat. You're working for it, absolutely, but at the same time, it's so much fun that it doesn't even feel like a workout!

I love a workout that goes by fast. If I don't have time to feel tired or sweaty or ready to die, then I'm a happy girl. Zumba is amazingly fast-paced, to the point that an hour feels like 15 minutes. When you're not used to working out regularly, that's especially important.

6. Say so Long to Stress

One of the best reasons to work out period is to get rid of your stress. Releasing all those endorphins makes you feel so much better. Nothing is a better stress reliever than Zumba. You forget all about your worries and cares, you're having fun, you're getting fit, and when you finish, you see everything from a new perspective.

7. Full Body Fitness

Zumba makes your whole body fit. You'll work out muscles you didn't even know you had! As I mentioned, it incorporates all sorts of different dances and combines them with essential lunges, stretches, martial arts moves, and much more. The choreography is specifically designed to work all the muscles in your body, toning and tightening not just your problem areas but also areas you didn't realize had a problem!

8. The Cha Cha Challenge

Because Zumba is ever-changing, you're always challenged. Even if you just experience a change in music from one workout to the next, it still creates an entirely different feel. That challenge, which works for both your mind and your body, will make sure you keep coming back. It's much easier to exercise when you look forward to your next workout – remember what I said about the hazards of boredom!

9. Coming to Anywhere near You

Finally, you can find a Zumba class pretty much anywhere. If you have a Wii or PS3, a DVD or BluRay player, or even access to fitness channels, you can do it right in your living room as well! If you prefer to workout away from home, just do a search in your area. I promise you'll find dozens of venues, at the very least. Why not take advantage?

I love Zumba u go at least two times a day and even bought me the Zumba kinetic on Xbox so fun....

Zumba has changed my life! I've been going to a Zumba class 5 days a week for the past 3 months. Prior to that, I went 2-3 times per week. I've lost over 50 pounds since last April just doing Zumba and watching my calorie intake. It's so much fun you don't even realize you are exercising!
