# How to Cut 500 Calories a Day ...

There are little things you can do to prevent yourself from gaining weight. If you follow the tips suggested by _Health_, you should be able to reduce your calorie intake by about 500 per day:

## 1. Tap Your Feet

You can "burn up to 350 calories a day just by tapping your feet or being restless." So the next time you're sitting in a chair, make sure you move your legs a bit.

If you're focused on the TV, you won't be paying attention to how much food you eat. So sit at the table whenever you're hungry.

Cut soda out of your diet completely. Once you do that, only opt for sugar free drinks.
