Buy a Pair of Shoes You’ve Had Your Eye on

Why not indulge a little bit after all your hard work? You don’t have to go out and buy a new pair of shoes after every pound you lose, but it would be an excellent reward for dropping a major amount of pounds. Keep in mind that your definition of major might be different from someone else’s. It also doesn’t have to be an expensive pair of shoes either. Maybe you’ve noticed a fun pair of flip-flops that would go great with the new sarong you just purchased.

Go out to Eat at a Favorite Restaurant

Dieting and learning to eat healthy portions go hand in hand. You can easily treat yourself to a special meal at a favorite restaurant without overdoing it. Try eating your main meal at home first if you are worried about overeating at the restaurant. Maybe go for dessert only. You could also order just an appetizer instead of a full meal in order to limit your caloric intake.

Pick up Some Fun Fashion Accessories

A sparkly set of earrings, a pair of snazzy sunglasses, a sheer scarf, or a colorful set of bangles might be just the thing. Most accessories don’t cost a fortune and it’s always fun to try on a bunch of different items.

Take a Day to Relax

Go for a bike ride, take a stroll through the botanical garden in the next town over, or simply sit at home and enjoy some peace and quiet. Do anything that will help you to feel relaxed and to give yourself a break from the daily grind. This can be a huge reward for someone who can never seem to get time to enjoy a bit of relaxation during the week. Concentrating too hard on your diet can cause you to become more stressed than necessary.

4

Spend a Day at the Spa

Sticking to your diet can help you feel healthier on the inside, but what about pampering yourself on the outside a bit? A day at the spa can include a massage, pedicure, manicure, facial, or a combination of different treatments. Maybe you can pick up some massage oil in a lovely scent or a sachet of bath salts from the spa to take home and enjoy later.

Successful weight loss is definitely a cause for celebration. Invite some friends out for a night of fun on the town. If you are part of a weight loss program, maybe you and a group of friends from the program can celebrate together.

Do Something Exciting

Maybe your definition of excitement includes an adrenaline rush or it could be something simpler, such as a day at the mall. Whatever your brand of excitement is, treat yourself to it and be proud of your dieting accomplishment.

Treat Yourself to a New Outfit

There’s nothing like sticking to a diet and losing enough pounds to drop down a size in clothing. It’s such a wonderful feeling! Celebrate with an entirely new outfit. If you don’t feel like splurging on a complete ensemble, then maybe a new skirt or blouse instead. Choose something that makes you feel good about yourself and the weight you’ve lost.

If these 8 ways to reward yourself when on a diet aren’t what you had in mind, then feel free to let me know what you would consider to be a great reward for your achievement. How often do you treat yourself to something fun as a reward for your hard work?
